The reflective rain

It was raining. A cold, windy, wet, nonstop rain. The streets were empty, people were doing whatever they were supposed to.
But him?
On a bus stop, waiting to go home. So unprotected from that cold, windy, wet, nonstop rain, that if the bus didn’t come right away he would go from wet to soaked.
Thoughtful as always, worried with the falling water he wasn’t.
That gray day was feeling more alive than it should. While everything outside was conspiring on the opposite way, he felt exactly what he wasn’t supposed to.
Pure warmth inside, like he had a beating, shiny heart again.
